The London Borough of Barnet is a Borough in North London and forms part of Outer London. It borders Hertfordshire to the north and five other London Boroughs: Harrow and Brent to the West, Camden and Haringey to the South-East and Enfield to the East.
The pattern of settlement is somewhat diverse. To the north of the borough is Barnet, also known as Chipping Barnet, High Barnet and East Barnet, also in the north are low-density districts of Edgware, Totteridge, Whetstone and Mill Hill.
To the south are the suburbs of Cricklewood, Colindale, Hendon and Finchley. Golders Green is renowned for its Jewish minority ethnic population and at the very south of the borough is Hampstead Garden Suburb.
Enfield
The London Borough of Enfield is the most northerly London Borough and forms part of Outer London.
Enfield used to be a small market town on the edge of the forest about a days travel north of London, As Greater London has grown, Enfield has become a residential suburb, with fast transport links from central London.
The Current borough of Enfield was formed in 1965 from the former area of the Municipal Borough of Southgate, the Municipal Borough of Enfield and the Municipal Borough of Edmonton.
Haringey
The London Borough of Haringey shares its borders with six other boroughs. In the North is Barnet, Enfield and Waltham Forest with Hackney, Islington and Camden to the South.
Haringey covers an area of more than 11 square miles, Some of the more familiar local landmarks include Alexandra Palace, Bruce Castle and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
